Elizabeth Jordahn Hudson, a Poolville, Texas native and 2014 graduate of Malvern High School, has worked at Henri’s Minerva for nearly two years. Liz, or “Ellie May” as she is affectionately called around the office, moved to Ohio with her parents and little brother in June 2013. But before that, Liz attended prom as a sophomore, junior, and senior in high school.
Because of her outstanding customer service and specialization in the plus size prom department, this once seasonal employee has been brought on as a full time member of the Henri’s family.
Since then, Liz has helped hundreds of girls find the dress of their dreams and has recently been busy learning the ins-and-outs of the shipping and receiving department.
“Honestly, it was horrible. It was hard to find plus size dresses that looked good. That’s what I love about doing what I do now. That girl who struggles with the way she looks? I make her look and feel pretty.”
“The atmosphere. We’re always joking around and laughing. And it makes me happy to know that these girls, some of them have gone to a ton of other places looking for a dress, and I was able to help them find exactly what they wanted. “
“I liked the autism event. It’s only our first year, but the proceeds went to a great cause.”
“Making sure everyone leaves happy. The best part is when everyone does leave happy!”
“Get something that fits your body properly. That’s so important no matter what size or shape you are. When it fits good, you’ll feel good.”
Favorite food: Pizza
Favorite musician: Rascal Flatts
Spirit Animal: Fox
Favorite place to visit: Home. The food is so much better in Texas!
Favorite dress designer: Mori Lee because every dress that they make fits so well! They make the best ball gowns!
One thing you can’t live without: Social Media. It’s how I keep in touch with my friends and family.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the new designs and taking the next step in my career.”
Elizabeth is the reigning, defending Henri’s Five-Star Challenge titleholder. Because of her outstanding service, Liz collected more five-star reviews than any other Henri’s employee during the 2015 prom season. Congratulations once again to Liz Hudson and all of the staff members who participated in the first ever Henri’s Five-Star Challenge.
