These fine young ladies are ready and eager to represent Ohio and Michigan at the 2015 Miss Junior High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant! In less than two weeks, we will have a three new national titleholders, and as they prepare to compete, we wish all of them the best of luck!
Madison Heichel
Miss Ohio Junior High School America 2015
Madison is an Honor Role student from Lexington Junior High who has reigned as class president for three years. She is a talented singer with an international following on Vine who has belted out the national anthem in front of home crowds at both Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians games. Alongside her family, Madison is instrumental in community service projects like the “Pinnacle Christmas Carnival” and “The New Store” benefitting children in need of clothing and holiday cheer. If given the opportunity to be crowned Miss Jr. High School America, Madison would educate others on the B.R.A.V.E. platform (Building Respect and Values for Everyone) through her Vine channel, instill confidence in young ladies across the country, and encourage everyone to reach for the stars.
Kylee Long
Miss Michigan Junior High School America 2015
Both brains and beauty abound in this year’s youngest Michigan contestant. Kylee Long attends London Middle School where is participates in honors courses, gifted programs, and is one of only two 7th graders taking high school algebra. She has received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. When she is not concentrating on homework, Kylee organizes back to school drives, participates in walks for organizations like Susan G. Komen and the American Heart Association, and bakes and delivers cookies for her local Ronald McDonald House. This cheer captain has high hopes of becoming Miss Junior High School America so that she can mentor and inspire other girls like her.
Alessandra Gesiotto
Miss Ohio High School America 2015
Alessandra is no stranger to the stage! This firey competitor has vied for titles at the national level in pageantry, cheerleading, and dance. Despite being born with an atrial septal defect, Ali has overcome the odds to become the 2010 Ohio Cinderella Miss, 2011 Star Systems Junior Miss Dance, 2012 All American Cheerleader of the Year, and third runner up at the 2014 Miss Ohio Teen USA Pageant among countless other acheivements. She is also involved with the Ohio Teenage Republicans and even volunteered in the 2012 Mitt Romney Presidential Campaign. Most recently, Ali helped organize a fashion show to benefit children with autism in Northeast Ohio called “Light up the Runway for Autism.” If she were crowned the new Miss High School America, Alessandra would curb bullying through dedication, passion, and positivity.
Britain Bennett
Miss Michigan High School America 2015
A leader in her community and a talented vocal and musical performer, Britain Bennett will be representing the Great Lakes State at Miss High School America this year. This young lady is a flutist and a scholar athlete who was selected for an elite, competitive choir for her talents as a theatrical vocalist. Britain also boasts one of the highest math scores on a standardized test in her school district. Britain is especially involved with a cause called the Sweet Dreams Charity, which she founded at age 12 making her the youngest Board Member of a non-profit agency in her county. As Miss High School America 2016, Britain says she would have the opportunity to not only promote the B.R.A.V.E. platform, but to continue to provide items that disadvantaged youth need for a good night’s sleep through the Sweet Dreams Charity.
Amanda Giroux
Miss Ohio Collegiate America 2015
She has modeled for Sherri Hill, Hollister, and Abercrombie, but Amanda Giroux is so much more than a pretty face. This Collegiate competitor is pursuing her marketing degree from Ohio University while participating on the planning committee of the Break Through for Brain Tumors 5k, mentoring incoming freshman and new students, and taking part in “Read, Lead, Achieve” philanthropy events through her sorority. Amanda placed first runner up at Miss Ohio Teen USA and was selected as one of only twenty five students to be accepted into the Honors College of Business program in the same year. As Miss Collegiate America 2015, Amanda says that she would continue to lead by example and teach others the importance of respecting each other and ourselves.
Avianna Danta
Miss Michigan Collegiate America 2015
Girly-girl by day and athlete by night, Avianna Danta has the best of both worlds with an (admitted) makeup addiction and MVP title of the co-ed football team. This tennis champ and honor student is already certified in CPR, Emergency Oxygen, and First Aid and is currently pursuing her dream to land a career in administrative health care. Avianna volunteers as a Team Leader at summer camps for underprivileged children, participates in local fund raising through her church, and serves others through her faith as a Eucharistic Minister. If given the opportunity to be crowned Miss Collegiate America, Avianna would be committed to promoting the B.R.A.V.E. platform by making all voices heard through her time, talent, and stewardship as her compassion for helping other continues to grow.
